You may also want to check whether the pitch is hard standing or on grass. A hard standing pitch will be made of gravel or another hard service and may be easier to move on and off if it has been raining.

Additional costs may be charged if you book a pitch but turn up with a larger caravan or tent. Some campsites also charge for the use of showers. Prices vary depending on the type of season and the UK school holidays. You can expect to pay a premium during the hotter months of July and August and on bank holiday weekends.
